KingfishChristone "Kingfish" Ingram is building on the rapid success of the early part of his career by starting his own label, Red Zero Records. His new album, Hard Road, is the  Pick Hit for the month.

Our Surprise pick for the month highlights a very fine singer originally from Chicago, Robbin Kapsalis, with her soulful new blues album, The Blues Is In The House.

Bob Corritore has been taking visiting musicians and celebrated locals into the studio for more than 40 years. His latest compilation, Early Blues Sessions, looks back at plenty of memorable music from legends like Little Milton, Robert Lockwood Jr., Lowell Fulson, Sam Lay, Jimmy Rogers, Henry Gray, and more. It's a worthy pick for this month's Flashback.

Our What's New section features new albums from Jimmy Burns and Soul Message Band, Roomful Of Blues, Tom Hambridge, BB & the Bullets, The Soul Of John Black, Dave Weld & The Imperial Flames, Shirley Johnson, and more.
